Brydon Carse excluded from England tour of Sri Lanka

England fast bowler Brydon Carse has been excluded from the upcoming white-ball tour of Sri Lanka following an off-field incident in Derby. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed that the Durham seamer will not be considered for selection while an independent investigation by the ‘Cricket Regulator’ is ongoing.

The decision follows social media footage appearing to show Carse being led away from a nightclub in handcuffs. The ECB stated that the omission is intended to allow the player to ‘work through the issues’ and ‘take time for a proper reset’ rather than to prejudge the outcome of the investigation.

Carse's absence represents a setback for England's pace options for the ODI and T20I series. The ECB has maintained confidentiality regarding the specific details of the review process, noting that the matter is being handled through appropriate internal channels.
