BTS arrives in Bogotá for historic Colombian concerts

South Korean group BTS has arrived in Bogotá, Colombia, for their first-ever performances in the country. The group is scheduled to perform two sold-out concerts at the Nemesio Camacho El Campín stadium on October 2 and 3 as part of their ‘BTS World Tour Arirang’.

In recognition of their global cultural influence and contributions to the arts, the Mayor of Bogotá, Carlos Fernando Galán, officially declared the seven members as Honorary Guests of the city via Decree 413.

The visit is expected to have a significant economic impact, with the Bogotá Tourism Observatory projecting spending of over 99 billion Colombian pesos on accommodation, food, transport, and shopping. Approximately 18.4% of ticket sales were made from outside Colombia, and air travel to the city has seen a notable increase.

Logistical preparations are underway, including road closures around El Campín and special TransMilenio transit routes to accommodate the expected crowd of over 53,000 people per night. The group arrived in a staggered manner, with some members traveling from South Korea and others via the United States.
