BTS draws massive crowds and fan gifting culture at Madrid concerts
South Korean pop group BTS performed its first Spanish shows at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano stadium in Madrid on 26‑27 June 2024, attracting about 70,200 spectators each night. The concerts are part of the group’s 79‑date world tour that runs from 2026 to 2027 and includes cities across Asia, North America, Europe, Latin America and Australia.
Fans created a vibrant community outside the venue, exchanging handmade gifts such as key‑rings, bracelets and photocards. Merchandise sold out quickly; shirts priced at €70 vanished within hours, while the popular "ARMY Bomb" light sticks and other items led many attendees to spend roughly €100 on souvenirs in addition to ticket prices ranging from €290 for general admission to €580 for VIP seats. Attendees described the experience as emotionally significant, with some traveling from abroad and citing BTS’s music as a personal refuge.
