BUAP inaugurates Casa de la Reina cultural space

The Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) has inaugurated 'Casa de la Reina,' a new cultural space located at Avenida Reforma 913 in the Historic Center of Puebla. Led by Rector Lilia Cedillo Ramírez, the initiative aims to provide a meeting point for students and the general public to engage with various artistic expressions.

The project is being implemented in three stages. The initial phase includes workshops in painting, engraving, and dance classes covering styles such as salsa, bachata, and cumbia. The facility also features reading areas, a cinema room, and a gallery currently hosting a ceramic exhibition by local sculptor Gustavo Tanús.

The opening event included a lecture by writer and journalist Benito Taibo, who spoke on the importance of reading and literature. Programming for the center's activities is expected to be available on social media starting next month.
