BUAP inaugurates Casa de la Reina cultural space and hosts literary event
The Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) has expanded its cultural offerings with the inauguration of Casa de la Reina and a literary presentation by Mario Iván Martínez.
Rectora Lilia Cedillo Ramírez inaugurated Casa de la Reina, a new cultural space designed to foster artistic development among students and the general public. Located at Avenida Reforma 913, the facility will offer workshops in painting, engraving, and dance, including salsa, bachata, and cumbia. The venue also features reading areas, a cinema, and a gallery showcasing ceramic work by sculptor Gustavo Tanús.
Additionally, actor and writer Mario Iván Martínez presented a collection of children's stories at the BUAP Bookstore within the Complejo Cultural Universitario (CCU). The collection features tales inspired by the childhoods of historical figures such as Leonardo da Vinci, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Vincent van Gogh, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, and Francisco Gabilondo Soler. The presentation aimed to encourage reading habits among younger generations by humanizing these iconic figures through storytelling.
