Buca furniture workshop fire leads to family evacuation

A fire broke out in a three-story furniture workshop in the Buca district of İzmir around 07:30 on Aydın Hatboyu Street. Due to the presence of flammable materials, the flames spread rapidly, causing panic in the surrounding area.

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality fire crews, including five water tenders, two heavy vehicles, and two ladder trucks, responded to the scene. Through their intervention, which lasted approximately 30 minutes, the fire was brought under control and prevented from spreading to further structures.

During the incident, a family of four—consisting of a mother, father, and two children—was safely evacuated from a house affected by the flames. While they were reported to be in good health, they were placed under medical observation as a precaution. The fire resulted in the total destruction of one house and one workplace, while three other businesses sustained damage. No fatalities were reported.
