Romania pushes ahead with new football stadiums in Pitești and Bucharest

Construction of the Nicolae Dobrin stadium in Pitești is progressing rapidly. The project, managed by a consortium including Erbașu and Terra Gaz Construct, has reached 80% completion of parking pillars and continues work on tribune foundations. When finished, it will be the first Romanian arena to operate entirely on renewable energy, funded through the Ministry of Development and the National Investment Company.

In Bucharest, work on Dinamo’s new stadium has been paused but remains on schedule for completion by the end of 2028. Demolition of the first phase is about 70% done, and technical approvals are being finalized. The €117 million complex will feature 26,217 seats, UEFA‑grade facilities, and a multifunctional arena intended for both the Dinamo club and other sports events.
