Bucharest hosts major fashion and creative industry events

Bucharest is hosting major creative industry events, including the Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week SS’27 and the second edition of Romanian Creative Week.

Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week is scheduled for October 13–17, featuring designers from Romania, Italy, Ukraine, Moldova, Poland, and Kazakhstan. The event aims to integrate art and performance into its runway shows and introduces a new Fashion Art Division, a menswear brand, and wellness-focused programming. The week will also include a “Design in Dialogue” conference to explore the intersection of fashion with architecture, film, and music.

Simultaneously, Romanian Creative Week, described as a major event for creative industries in the European Union, concluded with a focus on fashion and cinema. The film component featured a showcase titled “Three Perspectives on Migration,” highlighting works by directors such as Radu Jude and Tudor Cristian Jurgiu. The event emphasized the connection between the Romanian film industry and international markets through the Federation of Employers in Creative Industries.
