Bucharest hosts major technology summits on AI and big data

Bucharest is hosting significant technology events focused on the evolution and implementation of artificial intelligence and big data.

The IQ Digital Summit Bucharest, scheduled for October 15, 2026, will feature Mo Gawdat, the former Chief Business Officer of Google X. The summit aims to address whether AI will represent humanity’s greatest achievement or error, exploring its impact on the economy, labor markets, and society. The event is structured into two parts: “Zoom Out,” analyzing the direction of the AI revolution, and “Back to Earth,” focusing on practical solutions for companies to integrate AI agents and tools into their operations.

Additionally, the Big Data Week Bucharest conference is bringing together local and international specialists to discuss the transition from AI experimentation to production. Organized by eSolutions and MetalSoft, the event emphasizes the challenges of maintaining quality, cost-efficiency, and trust in AI systems that have moved beyond the lab into real-world use. Key topics include data engineering, applied AI, governance, and the management of AI-ready data platforms.
