Bucharest International Air Show returns to Băneasa Airport

The 16th edition of the Bucharest International Air Show (BIAS) is scheduled for August 28-29 at the Băneasa – Aurel Vlaicu International Airport. Dedicated to Romanian aviation pioneer Traian Vuia, the event features over 200 military and civilian pilots, including international aerobatic teams such as Italy’s Frecce Tricolori and the Turkish Stars.

The flight programme includes displays from the French Air and Space Force, the Spanish F/A-18 Hornet, and the German Air Force. The Romanian Air Force will also participate with F-16 Fighting Falcons and various transport aircraft. Commercial airlines such as TAROM, Wizz Air, Animawings, and HiSky will be represented.

Wizz Air will host specific activities at Hangar 5, including a low-altitude flight with an Airbus A321neo on Saturday, August 29. The airline also plans a live discussion session with experienced pilots to discuss aviation careers and training opportunities. Public access to the event is free.
