Bucharest launches 86‑million‑lei contract to refurbish public parking facilities

The Municipal Parking Company of Bucharest (CMPB), operating under the City Hall, has opened a 48‑month framework contract worth 86 million lei (about €17 million) to repair and upgrade its public parking platforms and associated carriageways. The works cover resurfacing of asphalt and concrete areas, filling potholes, installing new road markings, edging, and repairing drainage and utility openings. CMPB manages over 80 000 paid parking spaces, amounting to roughly 1 000 000 m² of surface.

The tender specifies that the selected contractor must be capable of simultaneous work across multiple sites, including narrow or hard‑to‑reach streets, using appropriate equipment. The full scope also includes the installation of vertical signage and the leveling of existing infrastructure, aiming to improve safety and usability of the city’s parking network.
