Bucharest launches Museum Triangle cultural project

The first edition of the ‘Museum Triangle’ project will take place in Bucharest on September 19-20, transforming Kiseleff Avenue into a pedestrian cultural promenade. The initiative, organized by the Sector 1 and Bucharest City Halls in partnership with the National Geological Museum, the Grigore Antipa National Museum of Natural History, and the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant, aims to connect these three major institutions.

The inaugural event focuses on the Dobrogea region, exploring themes of Earth, Nature, and People through interactive workshops, musical performances, film screenings, and treasure hunts. Children will receive free access to the three museums via special bracelets.

Beyond the weekend event, the project envisions a long-term urban regeneration plan. Architect Teodor Frolu, the project's initiator, proposed creating a unified cultural and urban space, potentially linked by a new park. Local authorities are also discussing urban solutions for expanding the Antipa Museum, modernizing the Geological Museum, and rehabilitating Kiseleff Park through international design competitions.
