Bucharest trolleybus line 79 rerouted due to Foișorul de Foc water works

From July 6, 2026, Bucharest’s trolleybus line 79 will operate on a temporary detour between the Clăbucet terminal and the Calea Moșilor stop. The altered route follows Calea Griviței, Gheorghe Polizu, Str. Occidentului, General Gheorghe Manu, B‑dăl Lascăr Catargiu, Piața Romană, B‑dăl Dacia, and Str. Traian before returning to Calea Moșilor.

The change is required because water‑and‑sewage works in the Foișorul de Foc area force a shutdown of the overhead power supply. Lines 86 and 97 will continue normal service, and passengers can use line 97 with a transfer to line 69 for trips between Gara de Nord/Calea Griviței and B‑dăl Basarabia.
