Budapest International Book Festival hosts international authors
The Budapest International Book Festival features several notable literary guests and events. French comic book writer Mark Eacersall is visiting Budapest to discuss the Pitcairn graphic novel. He will participate in a conversation alongside illustrator Gyula Németh at the Budai Képregényklub. The Pitcairn series, which explores the historical events surrounding the Bounty mutiny and the subsequent settlement on Pitcairn Island, has recently been released in Hungarian.
Additionally, Swiss author Nelio Biedermann is attending the festival. His internationally acclaimed novel, Lázár, is inspired by the extraordinary history of his Hungarian aristocratic ancestors. The book chronicles the family's experiences through the political and economic upheavals of the 20th century, including their flight from Hungary to Switzerland.
