Budapest Stock Exchange BUX index opens slightly higher

The Budapest Stock Exchange (BÉT) BUX index opened on Wednesday with a marginal increase of 0.01 percent, rising by 14.06 points to reach 148,636.56. This follows a previous session where the index closed down 0.36 percent at 148,622.50.

Market analysts noted that uncertain international investor sentiment could lead to downward pressure on trading. Regarding individual major stocks, OTP Bank saw its share price drop by 1.3 percent to 44,650 HUF on Tuesday, though Romer Capital raised its target price for the stock from 54,000 to 58,000 HUF.

Mol shares rose 0.59 percent to 5,085 HUF, while Richter experienced a slight decline of 0.15 percent to 13,110 HUF. Magyar Telekom saw a notable increase of 1.9 percent, closing at 2,578 HUF.
