Budva expands parking capacity to over 3,100 spaces

Budva has reached its highest parking capacity to date, with over 3,100 spaces available for residents and visitors during the peak summer tourist season. This capacity includes specialized parking lots, garages, and areas managed under a new zonal parking system.

Dragana Pima, Director of Parking servis Budva, reported that the expansion began in 2025 with the addition of 500 spaces in the city center. This was followed by the establishment of 18 special parking lots along the Budva Riviera, providing 2,100 spaces. The first phase of the zonal parking project in 2026 added another 1,000 regulated spaces.

The implementation of the zonal system aims to improve communal order, increase space efficiency, and reduce traffic congestion. Financially, the system has proven sustainable, with revenues for the first six months of the year significantly exceeding the planned annual income.

Users can pay for parking via SMS, eKiosks, or a bilingual mobile application available on Google Play and the App Store. The system is divided into three zones, with summer rates ranging from 1 to 2 euros per hour.
