Buenaventura municipality funds Saber 11 exam fees for over 2,200 students

The municipal government of Buenaventura announced it will cover the registration costs for the national Saber 11 exam for 2,244 students enrolled in public schools. The payment aims to remove financial barriers, support families, and keep students on track toward higher‑education opportunities.

Rector Libardo Riascos Perlaza of the Instituto Nacional de Educación Técnica y Profesional (INETERPO) praised the measure, saying it directly benefits students and helps maintain equitable access to the exam. The initiative is part of the administration’s broader strategy to strengthen public education and expand post‑secondary prospects for young people in the district.
