Buenavista security operation results in seizure of weapons and armored vehicles

Security forces conducted a search operation in the El Hospital neighborhood of Buenavista, Michoacán, resulting in the seizure of weapons, tactical equipment, and vehicles. The operation involved the Mexican Army, the National Guard, and the State Attorney General's Office.

Authorities confiscated six long guns, 47 magazines, and between 342 and 438 cartridges. Additionally, two improvised explosive devices were recovered. The seizure included three vehicles and one motorcycle; notably, two of the vehicles featured improvised armor while one had factory armor. Some of the vehicles were reported stolen.

Tactical gear seized at the scene included five ballistic vests, various pouches, a ballistic helmet, seven tire deflation devices (ponchallantas), communication radios, and backpacks. The seized items have been placed at the disposal of the Attorney General's Office in Apatzingán for further investigation.
