Buenos Aires Children’s Book Fair Expands to Convention Center as Goya Hosts Smaller Book Event

Argentina’s capital will host the 34th Feria del Libro Infantil y Juvenil from 11 July to 2 August at the Centro de Convenciones Buenos Aires. The fair returns to its historic venue and doubles its exhibition space to more than 3 000 m², featuring over 70 stands, free daily entry and a program of music, theatre, workshops and permanent stages. School visits are scheduled from 13 July, and the official opening ceremony will be held on 17 July. Awards for promoters of children’s reading, the Premios Pregonero, will be presented on 31 July.

Meanwhile, the municipality of Goya is preparing the eighth edition of its Feria del Libro, slated for 5–12 July at the Costa Surubí site. The event’s duration has been shortened from ten to seven days in response to the current economic context. A trailer for a documentary on the city’s history, created with historian Felipe Pigna, will be shown at the closing day, with a full book and audiovisual project planned for November.

Both fairs aim to boost literature promotion across age groups and regions, offering free access and a range of cultural activities to the public.
