Buenos Aires Expo Rural 2026 Highlights Agro‑Tech, Startups and New Machinery
The 138th edition of the Expo Rural fair took place in Palermo, Buenos Aires, from 16 to 26 July 2026, gathering producers, contractors and tech firms from across Argentina. The event featured more than 400 commercial stands, 4,500 animal exhibitors and over 2,500 livestock specimens, a 10 % increase from the previous year. City officials promoted the show as a hub for innovation, noting that 70 % of the nation’s agro‑industrial firms are based in Buenos Aires and two‑thirds of startups in the city’s Innovation Park are linked to agriculture or food production.
The fair presented a mix of cultural and commercial activities, including tango classes, local art displays and a Gaming Showcase of Argentine video‑game studios. Valtra, a major equipment producer, highlighted its latest tractors – the BM135, A135 of the new A5 series and an A5 HiTech model – and demonstrated the PTx Farm Engage digital platform for real‑time machinery monitoring and data‑driven decision making. Interactive demonstrations and a dedicated machinery pavilion emphasized the sector’s push toward greater efficiency and digital integration.
