Buenos Aires government launches major land auctions and housing project for ex‑AU3 corridor

The Buenos Aires city administration approved a comprehensive plan to redevelop the former Autopista 3 (ex‑AU3) corridor. Under the new urban‑social law, the government will auction five occupied lots and construct 110 new apartments by 2027, targeting the relocation of roughly 900 families. The scheme, managed by the Ministry of Development and Habitat, has already delivered 45 housing units and generated nearly five‑million dollars from earlier parcel sales, which will fund further construction.

Separately, the city’s Subterráneos authority scheduled an online auction for a 395.6‑m² plot at the intersection of Avenida Santa Fe and Pueyrredón in Recoleta, adjacent to the Santa Fe‑Carlos Jáuregui station of Line H. The auction, set for 3 July, has a base price of US$1.679 million and is part of the broader effort to monetize transit‑linked assets and support the ex‑AU3 redevelopment program.
