Buenos Aires Governor Axel Kicillof signs cooperation deals in Corrientes
Buenos Aires Governor Axel Kicillof arrived in Corrientes on Wednesday as part of a federal tour, meeting with provincial Governor Juan Pablo Valdés. The visit combined institutional, academic and political activities, including a presentation of Kicillof’s book “De Smith a Keynes” at the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste.
During the trip Kicillof and Valdés signed several cooperation agreements covering security, agrarian development and market integration. One pact will allow Corrientes rice producers to sell directly in Buenos Ayres markets, while another establishes a technical collaboration on animal genetic improvement, granting Corrientes breeders access to high‑quality bovine and ovine material from Buenos Ayres research stations. The governors emphasized solidarity and the strengthening of Argentine federalism.
