Buenos Aires implements new industrial waste and investment regulations
The Province of Buenos Aires has implemented a new regulatory framework for Non-Special Industrial Waste (RINE). This regime aims to establish traceability and control over materials that previously lacked specific regulation. The system will track the generation, transport, and final destination of these wastes, creating mandatory registries for generators, transporters, and operators. The initiative is intended to prevent recoverable materials from entering improper disposal circuits and to encourage circular economy practices and technological investment.
In the City of Buenos Aires, the Ministry of Economic Development has advanced the implementation of the Incentive Regime for Medium Investments (RIMICABA). Established via Law 6.950, this program seeks to attract national and foreign productive investments through tax benefits and financing mechanisms. The Ministry has designated the General Directorate of Productive Strategy and Promotion Regimes to manage the registry, oversee beneficiary compliance, and ensure effective local business operations to foster job creation and competitiveness.
