Buenos Aires launches BAX AI assistant to streamline citizen services

The government of the City of Buenos Aires introduced BAX, an artificial‑intelligence‑driven virtual assistant that consolidates all existing digital municipal services into a single free app for Android and iOS. Residents can interact with BAX via chat, voice or image input, check the status of their procedures, manage appointments and access personal documents.

Secretary of Innovation and Digital Transformation Raúl Piola said the tool reduces processing times that previously took 15–20 minutes to under a minute and also provides information about local events and activities. Users must register with an email address and personal details to use the service.
