Buenos Aires Legislature Announces $2.1 B Facade Restoration Tender

The Buenos Aires City Legislature opened a public tender (N.º 01/2026) to restore sections of the Palacio Aguirre y Ayerza façade. The project, budgeted at about AR$2.089 billion, will cover structural repairs and preservation of the historic building.

Offers are scheduled to open on 5 August 2026, and the contracted work must be completed within 210 calendar days. The tender follows a resolution by the city’s Commission for Preservation, Repair, Improvement and Completion of Works, which approved technical specifications, plans and the official budget.

Funding will come from the city’s regular budget allocations, and the contract will be governed by the local public‑works procurement law.
