Buenos Aires opens public vote for Autódromo Oscar y Juan Gálvez redesign

The Government of the City of Buenos Aires has launched a public vote to allow fans to participate in the design process for a section of the renovated Autódromo Oscar y Juan Gálvez. Sports Secretary Fabián Turnes presented four design alternatives via social media to gather community preference.

Renovation work on the historic circuit began in January, focusing on modernizing infrastructure, improving safety, and upgrading technical conditions. Planned interventions include modifications to the tunnel and hairpin, extending the pit lane, and resurfacing the asphalt.

City Chief Jorge Macri stated that the upgrades aim to meet the requirements necessary to host international categories such as Formula 1 and MotoGP. Additionally, the project seeks to transform the venue into a multi-purpose space capable of hosting concerts, congresses, and other large-scale events throughout the year.
