Buenos Aires Pride March confirmed for November 7

The Government of the City of Buenos Aires and LGBTI+ organizations have reached an agreement to hold the Pride March on its original date of November 7. This decision follows negotiations regarding potential scheduling conflicts with the upcoming visit of Pope Leo XIV to Argentina.

To accommodate the security operations required for the papal visit, the march will follow a modified route. Instead of the traditional path through Plaza de Mayo, the demonstration will begin on Lima Street and conclude at Plaza del Congreso, where a main stage will be located. This adjustment ensures that the area around Casa Rosada remains available for the Pope's arrival and security protocols.

The agreement follows a previous city resolution that restricted public events between November 6 and November 13, 2026, due to the expected influx of visitors and security needs. Organizers expressed satisfaction with the dialogue, stating that the solution allows for the exercise of rights while respecting the logistical requirements of the religious visit.
