Buenos Aires Province launches financial support drive for 30+ municipalities

Vicegovernor Verónica Magario and Banco Provincia president Juan Cuattromo hosted a working meeting in La Plata attended by more than 30 mayors from across Buenos Aires Province. The gathering aimed to coordinate provincial government, the public bank and local authorities to strengthen district economies, expand management capacity and provide tools to sustain economic activity and employment.

Participants reviewed the current Argentine economic climate, highlighted challenges such as falling investment, reduced consumption, rising family and SME debt, and the impact of President Javier Milei’s policies. Banco Provincia pledged new financing lines and resources to help municipalities, workers and residents cope with the crisis, while mayors stressed the urgency of concrete solutions for debt, morosidad and loss of purchasing power.

The meeting underscored a joint effort to promote local growth, innovation and financial stability across the province’s municipalities.
