Buenos Aires rents climb 1.4% in June as transport fares rise in July

In June 2026, rental listings for apartments in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA) increased by 1.4%, bringing the cumulative rise for the first half of the year to nearly 16%, according to data from the Zonaprop portal. The increase remains below the national inflation rate of 17.1%.

Effective 1 July 2026, public transport fares in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA) were adjusted upward. Bus tickets rose by about 4 % to a minimum of ARS 1.057,25, while train fares began a staged increase, with the first‑section ticket climbing 8.6 % to ARS 380,10. Further incremental hikes are scheduled for August and September.
