Buenos Aires to Host 2026 Council of the Americas Conference

The 23rd edition of the Council of the Americas will be held on 20 August 2026 at the Alvear Palace Hotel in Buenos Aires. It is organized by the Americas Society/Council of the Americas (AS/COA) in partnership with the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services.

The event will gather leading political, economic and business figures from Argentina and the broader region. Confirmed participants include President Javier Milei, Economy Minister Luis Caputo, Foreign Minister Pablo Qirnoy, deregulation minister Federico Sturzenegger and Buenos Aires Governor Jorge Macri, along with ambassadors and private‑sector executives. Organizers view the conference as a key barometer for policy debates ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
