Bugojno Croats massacre marked on 33rd anniversary

On 33 years after the 1993 killing of 311 Bosnian Croats in Bugojno, a memorial ceremony was held at the Sultanovići Catholic cemetery. Families of victims, religious leaders, and officials from Bosnia‑Herzegovina and Croatia attended, laying wreaths and lighting candles. The event highlighted that 15 people are still missing and that the search for their remains continues.

Eight members of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been convicted for crimes against the Croats, while a trial of two further suspects is ongoing. Victims’ relatives, including Sarafina Kolovrat, called for faster justice, and Federation President Lidija Bradara reiterated the need to remember the atrocities and prevent their recurrence.
