Buick launches Electra E7 PHEV SUV in South Korea

General Motors has officially launched the Buick brand in South Korea with the unveiling of the 2027 Buick Electra E7, a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) SUV. As the first model introduced to mark Buick’s entry into the Korean premium market, the Electra E7 is built on the advanced Xiao Yao architecture and features a 1.5L engine paired with a 165kW motor.

The vehicle offers a combined driving range of over 1,000km and can travel up to 126km on battery power alone. Premium interior features include a 15.6-inch center display, zero-gravity passenger seats, and V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) capabilities.

To support the launch, Buick is conducting a nationwide tour of pop-up stores throughout October. These promotional events will take place in Seoul (IFC Mall), Busan (Shinsegae Centum City), Hanam (Starfield), and Daejeon (Galleria Landmark Square), allowing potential customers to experience the vehicle's design and technology firsthand.
