Bulgaria energy facilities prepared for winter
Bulgarian Energy Minister Iva Petrova has announced that the country's energy facilities are prepared for the upcoming winter season. During a briefing to the parliamentary energy commission, Petrova confirmed that Bulgargaz has secured sufficient natural gas supplies for the cold months, noting that gas is still being pumped into the Chiren underground storage facility.
Despite the overall readiness, the Minister expressed concerns regarding the state of the Toplofikacia-Sofia heating network. While the company has provided assurances of readiness for the start of the heating season, Petrova noted that some repairs to the capital's heating network remain unfinished. She attributed the company's difficulties to its financial obligations toward Bulgargaz and the Bulgarian Energy Holding.
