Bulgaria expands summer youth volunteer and internship programs

The Varna municipality reported that 56 young volunteers took part in its summer volunteer service, engaging in sports, social and environmental projects. Among them is 17‑year‑old Stiliyan, a two‑time national champion in athletics, who hopes the experience will help him join the fire service academy. The municipality noted a steady rise in youth interest in such initiatives each year.

Telecom company Vivacom concluded its 23rd summer internship program, which hosted 55 participants. The interns met with CEO Asen Velikov and Chief Human Capital Director Malina Chavdarova, discussing career development, AI in telecommunications and new product training. Over half of the interns typically continue their careers with Vivacom after the program.
