Bulgaria to see hot, sunny weather with temperatures up to 36°C on July 31
The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology forecasts stable, dry and sunny conditions across Bulgaria on July 30‑31. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 31 °C and 36 °C nationwide. Sofia should see around 32 °C, while Plovdiv and Blagoevgrad can reach 35‑36 °C. In Pleven and Ruse highs of 34‑35 °C are projected.
Coastal areas along the Black Sea will enjoy bright sunshine, air temperatures of 26‑29 °C and sea temperatures of 24‑25 °C, creating ideal beach conditions. Mountain ranges will also be sun‑bathed with light to moderate northeast winds; at 1,200 m elevation temperatures will be about 26 °C and at 2,000 m around 18 °C. The heat wave is expected to continue into the weekend of August 1‑2, with some regions possibly reaching 33‑38 °C.
