Bulgaria: Fraudulent TikTok scheme offers driver's licenses without exams

A fraudulent scheme operating on TikTok is offering driver's licenses in exchange for payments between 600 and 800 euros. The scheme promises that individuals can obtain legal documents within seven days without attending driving school, passing theoretical exams, or completing practical driving tests.

One of the most active profiles, operating under the name “Avtoshkola Stefanov,” was investigated by media outlets. Checks with the Executive Agency “Automobile Administration” revealed that no registered training center exists under that name. The profiles use videos of people posing with licenses in front of police buildings to claim legitimacy and offer delivery via courier.

Following reports of the scam, news outlets received numerous anonymous calls. Rather than reporting the fraud, a significant number of callers inquired about how to participate in the scheme and how to contact the individuals offering the illegal service.
