Bulgaria imposes temporary traffic restrictions on Hemus, Trakia and Maritza highways for toll‑camera maintenance

From 13 to 16 July, the Bulgarian Road Infrastructure Agency will carry out scheduled maintenance on toll‑camera equipment on three motorways: Hemus (A1), Trakia (A2) and Maritza (A3). Work will be phased, with the overtaking lane or the active lane temporarily closed at specific kilometre points, and traffic redirected to the remaining lane. On 13 July, work begins at kilometre 39 on Hemus near the Topli Dol tunnel. The most extensive activities are slated for 14 July on Trakia at kilometres 137, 172, 205 and again at 172 in the opposite direction. On 16 July, Maritza in the Haskovo region sees work at kilometres 83, 89 and 98. Drivers are urged to observe the temporary lane arrangements, speed limits and to avoid risky overtaking. Updated traffic information is available on the agency’s website and hotline.
