Bulgaria issues yellow weather alert for intense rain and thunderstorms on July 4
A yellow weather code was issued for six to seven Bulgarian regions on Saturday, July 4, warning of intensive rainfall and thunderstorms. The forecast calls for short‑duration showers, occasional hail and strong north‑west winds, with the greatest impact expected in the central and eastern parts of the country.
Maximum temperatures are expected to range from 25 °C to 33 °C, with coastal areas staying cooler at 25‑27 °C and mountain elevations reaching about 19 °C at 1,200 m and 13 °C at 2,000 m. Sea‑state on the Black Sea will be moderate, and cloud cover will lessen across most of the nation later in the day.
