Bulgaria power outages disrupt Elena and Lovech municipalities

From 21 to 24 July 2026, safety work on electricity‑distribution facilities will cause possible interruptions between 09:00‑11:00 and 16:00‑16:30 in many villages of Elena municipality, and a full cut‑off from 09:00‑16:30 in the villages of Zelenik and Ignatovtsi. Additional disturbances are listed for the town of Gurkovo, the BKT‑FEC Panacea plant, and a large group of industrial customers in Gorna Oryahovitsa during the same period.

In Lovech province, nine settlements – Gorno Pavlikene, Kazachево, Prелом, Smочан, Sokolovo, Tepava, Kъkrina and Aleksandrovо – are without electricity after network accidents. Repair crews are working on restoration, and similar outages have been reported in Mikre (Ugarchin municipality). Police noted fallen trees and a small fire near Brestnitsa that was extinguished.
