Bulgaria sees 4,600 citizens activate eZdrave health app in a week

Around 4,600 Bulgarian citizens activated the eZdrave mobile health application during the period 27 July – 1 August, according to the Ministry of Health. The rollout was backed by regional health inspections, district health‑insurance funds and the state‑run Information Service AD, as part of the ministry’s measures to give citizens direct, easy access to their electronic health records.

From 29 July the inspections introduced a permanent mobile‑pairing service, with teams assisting people in municipal buildings, state institutions and other public venues. The greatest number of pairings was recorded in the cities of Ruse, Smolyan and Pazardzhik, and more than 1,000 new activations were logged in a single day. The campaign continues, with a published list of pairing points and upcoming app features such as a “Public Control” function that will let users monitor entries in the National Health Information System and first‑aid advice.
