Bulgaria Social Minister confirms full utilization of RRP funds

Bulgarian Social Minister Natalia Efremova announced to the Committee on Labor, Demography, and Social Policy that there will be no loss of funds under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP). She stated that the actual implementation of all RRP investments concluded on August 31.

A primary focus of these investments was the modernization of long-term care services. Efremova reported that while the commitment was to reach an indicator of 250 renovated or newly established social services, documentation has been received for 252 services. This includes the renovation of all municipality-managed homes for the elderly.

Additional achievements mentioned include the successful installation of photovoltaic plants on 500 state-delegated social services to reduce maintenance costs, and the purchase of 250 electric vehicles for municipalities to support social service needs. Verification of documents and costs is currently underway.
