Bulgaria Recovery and Resilience Plan implementation
Overview
Bulgaria is utilizing funds from its National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) to modernize social services and residential infrastructure.
Social Minister Natalia Efremova confirmed that the implementation of RRP investments concluded on August 31, with no loss of funds. Key achievements include the modernization of 252 social services, the renovation of municipality-managed elderly homes, the installation of photovoltaic plants at 500 state-delegated social services, and the acquisition of 250 electric vehicles for municipal use.
Simultaneously, the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) has finalized negotiations for a 332.5 million euro project aimed at the energy renovation of 630 multi-family residential buildings across more than 100 municipalities. This initiative, part of the NRRP, provides 100% financing for eligible costs to reduce energy consumption and household utility costs for residents.
