Bulgaria weather forecast: Warm autumn conditions to persist through October
Bulgaria is expected to experience warm and predominantly sunny weather through the end of October, according to climatologist Professor Georgi Rachev. Temperatures are forecasted to remain above seasonal norms, with maximums reaching between 18 and 19 degrees Celsius, a trend also observed across much of Europe and the Balkans.
While recent weather was marked by thunderstorms and heavy rainfall due to a cold front associated with Cyclone Adam, conditions are expected to stabilize. The upcoming weekend, including the day of the presidential elections, is predicted to be pleasant and sunny with no significant meteorological obstacles for voters.
A more substantial cooling period is anticipated to begin in early November. This shift may bring average daytime temperatures in Sofia and Western Bulgaria below 12 degrees Celsius, which is one of the necessary conditions for the activation of central heating systems.
