Bulgaria weather: Yellow code issued for Black Sea coast
The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) has issued a yellow code for the entire Bulgarian Black Sea coast due to strong winds and significant sea swell. Wind gusts are expected to reach approximately 72 km/h, with wave heights between 3 and 4 balas.
Weather conditions across Bulgaria are shifting. While much of the country starts with sunny intervals, cloudiness will increase in the afternoon, particularly in eastern Bulgaria, leading to rain. In the mountains, precipitation may fall as snow at altitudes above 2300 meters.
Temperatures are expected to remain moderate, ranging between 19°C and 24°C in many areas, with Sofia seeing around 19°C. Looking ahead to October, meteorologists predict a transition to cooler weather with potential frost in some regions and increased rainfall, though some warm periods may still occur.
