Bulgaria weather forecast predicts rain and temperature drop

Bulgaria is expecting a shift toward colder and wetter weather. Following a period of temporary improvement in some regions, a new influx of cold air from the north is set to arrive by Friday.

Forecasts from the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology indicate widespread cloudiness and rain across much of the country on Friday. In mountainous areas, precipitation is expected to fall as snow at altitudes above 1,300 meters. Temperatures are projected to drop, with daytime highs ranging between 10°C and 15°C and minimums between 1°C and 8°C.

The Black Sea coast will experience cloudy conditions and rain, particularly along the southern shoreline, accompanied by moderate to strong northern winds. Over the weekend, cold temperatures are expected to persist, with some valley areas potentially seeing temperatures drop to 0°C or even -1°C. While some warming is predicted for the following week, the end of October is expected to be colder than average with frequent precipitation.
