Bulgaria weather: Warm peak expected before next week's cooling

Bulgaria is expected to experience a period of warm and sunny weather before a significant temperature drop. Climatologist Professor Georgi Rachev predicts that temperatures will gradually rise, potentially peaking on Friday with highs reaching 27-28°C. While the weather remains pleasant through the weekend, a cold air mass is expected to arrive early next week, bringing increased cloudiness, wind, and rain, particularly in Western and Central Northern Bulgaria.

In addition to the shifting weather patterns, Professor Rachev highlighted concerns regarding ongoing drought conditions. He noted that the water levels of the Danube River have reached critically low points, with some areas observing almost no change in water volume, marking one of the lowest levels ever recorded.
