Bulgaria weather shifts from recent snow to temporary warming

Bulgaria is experiencing fluctuating weather patterns, transitioning from recent cold spells and snowfall in mountain passes like Petrohan to a period of warming. Climatologist Georgi Rachev predicts a significant warming trend following the recent snow, with temperatures potentially exceeding 20 degrees Celsius by mid-week.

Forecasts indicate sunny or partly cloudy conditions in many regions, with temperatures in some areas reaching between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. However, this warming is expected to be temporary. A cold atmospheric front is projected to move through the country by Thursday and Friday, bringing increased cloud cover, rain, and potential thunderstorms, followed by a drop in temperatures.

In the mountains, recent snowfall has been noted, requiring caution for travelers. Meanwhile, reservoir levels remain in good condition, with many reported at 65% to 75% capacity, ensuring stable water supplies for domestic use.
