Bulgaria weather: High heat in Plovdiv followed by temperature drop

Bulgaria is experiencing high temperatures, with Plovdiv expected to reach up to 36 degrees Celsius on Sunday, September 6. While the day will be mostly sunny with light winds, morning temperatures will remain cooler between 15 and 18 degrees.

In other regions, cloud cover will increase compared to Saturday, though the chance of rain remains low. Sofia is forecasted to see temperatures around 32 degrees, while the Black Sea coast will remain sunny with temperatures ranging from 28 to 32 degrees in areas like Varna, and around 28 degrees in Burgas. Sea temperatures are reported to be between 24 and 26 degrees.

A noticeable decrease in temperature is expected at the start of the new week. By Monday, September 7, maximum temperatures are forecasted to fall between 26 and 31 degrees, with Sofia reaching approximately 28 degrees. While Monday will be sunny, higher elevations in the mountains may experience moderate to strong northwest winds.
