Bulgarian medical community celebrates professional holiday in Ruse

The medical community in Ruse celebrated Bulgarian Doctor's Day on October 19 with a ceremony held at the Ruse Opera House. Organized by MEDICA Healthcare Facilities, the event marked the ninth consecutive year of the celebration.

The ceremony included representatives from parliament, local and state authorities, and various academic and health institutions. Ruse Mayor Pencho Milkov and Regional Governor Lyubomir Vladimirov delivered congratulatory addresses, praising the dedication and professionalism of the region's medical staff.

During the event, six physicians received the 'Excellent Doctor of RLC – Ruse 2026' awards, presented by Dr. Orlin Kozhuharov, Chairman of the Regional Medical Association – Ruse. Recipients were also honored with certificates of merit from the mayor and the regional governor for their contributions to healthcare and the medical profession.
