Bulgarian medical facilities announce free health screenings

Several medical institutions in Bulgaria are launching free health screening initiatives. In Sliven, the Dr. Ivan Seliminski Regional Hospital will host free tuberculosis examinations from September 14 to 18. This initiative is part of the National Tuberculosis Prevention Program 2026–2030, aimed at reducing morbidity and improving early detection of latent infections.

In Sofia, the SofiaMed medical complex is conducting free preventive checkups for children and students aged 0 to 18. Part of the ‘Stay Healthy’ campaign, these screenings will take place between September 8 and 11 at various locations, including the Lyulin center and Block 1. Specialists will provide examinations in fields such as neurology, ophthalmology, ENT, and general pediatrics to support health awareness ahead of the new school year.
